This grant has been truly life changing, I can’t believe what we were able to accomplish with your help!
The tap trailer is complete and running – we have been using it at farmers markets for the past two weeks and it has been SO well received by customers and helpful to us!
Serving out of the trailer has allowed us to produce a more consistent product as we can control the temperature more easily, and it makes our service more streamlined! Not only that, but it’s pretty cute, and hearing people tell us how much it adds to our booth has been really wonderful.
We also were able to purchase more kegs and start brewing out of our fermenter! This has completely changed our brewing process for the better, again mostly with streamlining and consistency, in addition to volume!
To be honest, this has been a season of growing pains – incredible and positive growth, but painful nonetheless! What helps me continue on is having a trusted support system, mentors I can consult when things get tough, and remembering that setbacks do not define a business or a person, they’re just part of the process!
Downtime Farm
The project is close to completed. The high tunnel is nearly up and I’ve added the amendments required to work into the clay in order to successfully grow in it. All of the seedlings planned for the tunnel are ready to be planted. I am so close to having a planted out functional high tunnel. There’s no way I could have planned to grow in this area without the grant from River Market Community Coop. For that I am so grateful. This will increase the crops I can grow in our short season and my market season.
