This Week at the Co-op (11/4)

New in our bulk department – maple coated pecans, from Dennis Farms, a small family-owned business in northwestern Pennsylvania. Located on a 120-acre wooded old farm, their business is a hobby that got way out of hand – they started tapping 10 trees in 1987 and now have 5,000 taps on 20 miles of tubing in their woods.IMAG0203

In the deli we have two new dips/spreads from La Terra Fina – a caramelized onion spread made with greek yogurt, and a chunky artichoke and jalapeno dip. Perfect for cold weather snacking.

Bagged organic navel oranges are new in produce, from Sunkist, a citrus growers’ cooperative composed of 6,000 members from California and Arizona.

Also look for localĀ True Dough frozen pizza dough in our freezers – we have a whole grain style and an italian herb style, as well as a gluten-free option that’s been flying out the door.
