Baked Kale Chips

We sampled some delicious kale chips in the store recently. Here’s the recipe:

  • 1 bunch kale
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds

Preheat oven to 350. Rinse, dry and shred kale into chip-size pieces, discarding inner stalk. In a small mixing bowl whisk all ingredients except kale. Once it’s a consistent mixture, gently toss and mix the kale pieces until coated. 

Line a large baking sheet with parchment, line out kale chips trying not to stack them. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes. The chips can burn quickly, so keep an eye on them. When finished, take out of oven and let cool for 5 or 10 minutes. Optionally, sprinkle the finished chips with nutritional yeast.
